Damien Olmeda – Director of Marketing & Strategy
Damien Olmeda is the Director of Marketing & Strategy at Surrogate Alternatives (SAI). Known for his creativity, empathy, and storytelling approach, Damien brings a unique blend of professional experience and personal passion to the way SAI shares the beauty of surrogacy. His work focuses on elevating the voices of surrogates, educating Intended Parents, and strengthening the emotional connection families feel when they begin their journey with SAI.
About Damien
Damien’s introduction to surrogacy began after meeting his wife, Diana Olmeda, Founder and CEO of Surrogate Alternatives. Through her work, he witnessed the profound impact surrogacy has on families. Because of this, he saw the hope, emotion, and life-changing moments that define the journey. These early experiences sparked a deep passion that inspired him to shift careers and dedicate himself to SAI’s mission.
As a father to his daughter, Marissa, Damien understands the irreplaceable joy of parenthood. This understanding fuels his commitment to helping families who long for the same experience. For him, transforming a family’s dream into reality is not only meaningful — it is life-changing. It is also the reason he finds purpose in every story he helps tell.
A Career Rooted in Strategy, Communication & Leadership
Before joining SAI, Damien spent more than 20 years in high-level logistics, security, and media roles across the country. His career included extraordinary opportunities. For example, he served on the Presidential Advance Team for President Bill Clinton, coordinated logistics alongside the United States Secret Service, and managed security operations for global executives including the Chairman of eBay and the President of Sony PlayStation.
He later transitioned into digital media and content strategy. During that time, he sold one of his websites to FUBU Founder Daymond John (Shark Tank) and eventually led content for John’s entertainment company, Y2G. These experiences strengthened Damien’s skills in communication, crisis management, creative direction, and strategic execution. As a result, he now brings a refined and innovative marketing approach to SAI.
Damien’s Role at Surrogate Alternatives
As Director of Marketing & Strategy, Damien oversees brand identity, digital content, creative storytelling, social media strategy, video production, and community outreach. He is passionate about sharing the real stories behind surrogacy , the milestones, the emotions, the challenges, and the incredible women who make parenthood possible.
Damien is often described as a “jack of all trades.” He moves easily between creative production, technical problem-solving, and strategic planning. This flexibility helps ensure SAI’s message remains authentic, educational, and compassionate. Ultimately, Damien takes pride in reminding the world that surrogacy is more than a process. It is an act of generosity, trust, and love.
