My name is Kimberly Mangin and I am an Intake Coordinator with Surrogate Alternatives, Inc. I am a San Diego native, mostly, due to my father being in the military. After I graduated high school I joined the Navy myself and was stationed back here in sunny San Diego, where I’ve been ever since. I have one amazing husband and three beautiful children of my own. I love being a mother and I have enormous empathy for others who struggle to become parents but experience many challenges. I feel that having a family is a universal right, but unfortunately, not always easy for some who want children so desperately. I was always interested in the Surrogacy Field, but didn’t really know all that much about it. Once my family was complete, I resolved to learn more about surrogacy and it eventually became my goal to help someone else start/complete their family.
It has been my honor and privilege to have been a surrogate twice with Surrogate Alternatives. I’ve given birth to two gorgeous little girls for two different sets of Intended Parents. There is something so magical about being there with them and watching as they hold their child for the first time. These are moments in my life I will always treasure and never forget. I joined the SAI team during my last surrogacy and I have been so fulfilled knowing I am helping build families, everyday. I have been to transfers, heartbeat ultrasounds, Surrogate Group Support meetings, SAI special events like Family Day and Surrogate Retreat weekends; I’ve even attended a surrogate’s delivery. I can’t begin to express how rewarding it is to be a part of another’s journey. If you’re considering surrogacy now or in the future, please contact me for more information. I hope to hear from you.
The things I love about my job:
- I love being a part of the surrogates’ journeys, then watching them create a family, along with their Intended Parents.
- I love talking to so many different people from so many different places and hearing all of their unique stories.
- I feel blessed every day to play a role in something so incredibly special
I served in the United States Navy for five years as a Hospital Corpsman. I am 6”1” and I have no basketball skills. I met my handsome husband on a blind date (yes, I am THAT lucky!). I gave birth to a singleton and a set of twins for my own family, then as a surrogate I gave birth to two singletons, in two different surrogacies, and I’m currently carrying twins for my last surrogacy journey! How’s that for overachieving?
