Marissa Spartz – Support Coordinator
Marissa Spartz is a Support Coordinator at Surrogate Alternatives (SAI) and a proud mother of three girls who are the center of her world. Her interest in surrogacy began early in life after learning about her mother’s traumatic experience of losing her twin boys in her early twenties, which resulted in an emergency hysterectomy. Although her mother remained grateful for the three children she was able to have, Marissa always understood how deeply she wished she could have expanded their family. Because of this, Marissa grew up with a strong desire to one day help others experience the joy of parenthood.
About Marissa
After becoming a mother herself, Marissa felt an even stronger calling to support families on their journey to parenthood. Her compassion, personal insight, and natural empathy made surrogacy a meaningful path. In 2021, she completed her first surrogacy journey for a wonderful local couple. The experience was deeply fulfilling and reinforced her belief in the profound impact surrogacy can have on a family. As time went on, she completed two additional surrogacy journeys, each unique and incredibly meaningful.
Outside of her role at SAI, Marissa loves spending quality time with her daughters and creating memories together. She enjoys discovering new places, appreciating small moments, and living a life grounded in gratitude and purpose.
Her Surrogacy Journey
Over the course of three surrogacy journeys, Marissa gained a deep understanding of the emotional and physical layers involved in helping Intended Parents grow their families. Each journey taught her something new, strengthening her commitment to providing thoughtful, compassionate support. As a result, she approaches every interaction with empathy and genuine care.

Things I love about my job:
What I love most about my role at SAI is the opportunity to support and guide both surrogates and intended parents throughout their journeys. Having been a surrogate myself, I understand firsthand the emotions, excitement, and challenges that come with each step. I strive to help surrogates, especially first-timers, feel confident, valued, and supported, knowing they’re never alone and that someone truly understands what they’re experiencing. Watching each journey blossom and witnessing families being created is deeply fulfilling and continues to inspire me every day.
