Once I had decided that being a Surrogate mother was something I wanted to do, and that I was sure I wanted to go through an Agency, I began my research. I researched lots of California surrogacy agencies and wanted to make sure of a few things before making my decision. I wanted a company with years of experience, that was in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, and that I could trust with this potentially delicate situation of finding a match and having a baby for someone. When I applied to SAI, it was like joining an entire community of supportive women. Not only did my caseworkers explain and walk me through the entire process, they were always there for me if I needed to ask a question or even just to talk and get to know me for me! I’m comfortable saying that many of the employees at SAI as well as the other surrogates have become my close friends! This is what I love most about SAI, is that they don’t treat me like another number on a chart, to them I’m almost like family. We all have come together and gone through such amazing and often spiritual journeys making families that we can connect and relate on a level that resonates among us all. It unites us. I couldn’t believe the amazing support system that SAI has created for their Surrogate women. Meetings, family events, retreats, and all because SAI believes that we are women worth celebrating and supporting through our journeys. I am almost positive that there isn’t another surrogacy agency in California that does anything close to what SAI does for its ladies.
I am in the beginning of my second surrogacy journey and I am excited to be back again with SAI.
