Diana Olmeda – President & CEO

Diana Olmeda is the President and CEO of Surrogate Alternatives, Inc. (SAI). Her journey into third-party reproduction began in 1997 after a close family friend approached her about becoming a surrogate. The friend suffered from a severe medical condition that prevented her from carrying a child. However, her health declined rapidly, and Diana was unable to help her fulfill that dream. Even so, the experience ignited a lifelong passion that would shape the rest of her career.

After two uncomplicated pregnancies of her own, Diana felt compelled to help others through surrogacy. Later that same year, she met with a local couple and became pregnant with their twins. As a result, she discovered a profound sense of purpose in helping build families. Because of this calling, she spent months researching the surrogacy field, meeting with industry professionals, and learning everything she could. Ultimately, in 1998, she founded Surrogate Alternatives, Inc.

Today, Surrogate Alternatives is recognized as one of California’s most established and trusted surrogacy agencies. With more than 28 years of continuous experience, SAI is known for its ethical standards, compassionate care, and strong outcomes for both surrogates and Intended Parents. When Diana launched SAI in 1998, there were only a few surrogacy agencies in California. FUN FACTS:

Diana loves traveling and considers herself a total foodie. She enjoys exploring new cuisines, relaxing at the spa, and indulging in a little retail therapy on busy days. She is also an avid reader who has finished more than 325 books in just three years. Diana is an only child and a mother of three, as well as a stepmother. She has been an egg donor five times, resulting in the birth of seven children around the world, and she has been a surrogate twice, delivering twin boys and a little girl.

In addition, Diana is a published author. Her book, The Surrogacy Blueprint: A Comprehensive Guide to Parenthood Through Third-Party Reproduction, is available on Amazon and has been well-received by Intended Parents, surrogates, and professionals who appreciate its practical insights and compassion-centered guidance.
